Agentic AI Drives Autonomous Software Agents

People use “agent” to mean several different things—models, coding assistants, workflow engines or chatbots connected to messaging—creating confusion for newcomers. An agent is a large language model placed in an action loop with access to tools and data so it can execute steps, observe outcomes and iterate, which makes LLMs more useful when linked to codebases, documents, calendars and other systems.
